Partnerships for People and Planet
Participant nomination portal now open. Click here.
The Cohab Initiative Secretariat and its Partners invite registrations from governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental organisations, academia, and other civil society organisations engaged in relevant areas of policy, research, communications, or practical activities at the intersection of health and biodiversity, and connected areas of climate, food, water, human rights and sustainable development.
In order to ensure a balanced representation across all regions, disciplines and perspectives, and to facilitate our goal of promoting participation and engagement by indigenous peoples, youth and lesser-resourced or vulnerable groups, the registration process is divided into two stages: nomination of participants for approval, followed by completion of registration and payment of fees. Details are provided below. For full terms and conditions of registration, please download the registration information note.
Organisations are invited to nominate participants through an official letter stating the full name, position and contact details (with a unique email address for each individual) of their intending participants. This letter should be uploaded via the online nomination portal, OR sent by email to cohab3@cohabinitiative.org. Organisations wishing to send more than one person to the conference are kindly requested to list all nominations in one letter if possible. Supplementary submissions may be considered, though acknowledgement and / or subsequent confirmation may be subject to delays.
For students wishing to participate, the letter of nomination should be issued by their university / school, and signed by their dean, head of department or unit, or research supervisor.
Please note that participation of any persons under the age of 18 is strictly controlled and will be subject to an additional application stage. Youth representatives and their partners are requested to consider this if relevant to their nominees, and to clearly identify any persons below 18 years of age in the official letter. The conference organising committee will follow-up with a request for additional details.
This nomination process will run from 11th February 2026 and close on Friday 7th August 2026.
An initial limit of five persons per organisation will apply, with exceptions possible for organisations wishing to support attendance of project partners from low- and middle-income countries (LMIC) or others representing indigenous peoples, youth or other marginalised, vulnerable or under-represented groups. Such proposals should be clearly stated in the official letter.
Cohab may revise this limit per organisation at a later date. Where any nomination(s) from any organisation cannot be approved for any reason, the organisation will be notified and may be offered a place on a waiting list, or invited to revise their nominations.
If your organisation / participant(s) intend to submit abstract(s) for oral or poster presentations, or a proposal for a side event, we would appreciate if this could indicated in the official letter. The conference organisers will follow-up with organisations / nominees to facilitate those submissions.
As far as is possible, receipt of official letters will be acknowledged within 2 working days of submission, and notification regarding acceptance or deferral will be made within 10 working days thereafter.
Please read the Cohab3 Registration Information note and associated terms and conditions before submitting your nomination(s).
Upon notification of acceptance, nominated participants will be sent a link to an online ticketing platform where they can complete the registration process. An invoice will also be issued for organisational records and to facilitate those organisations wishing to submit payment by direct bank transfer. Upon completion of payment, participants will receive a digital conference pass which will be required for presentation at the conference venue.
